The National Labor Force Survey (SAKERNAS) 2025 is once again being conducted by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Manggarai Regency. The data collection for SAKERNAS 2025 is being carried out quarterly for the first time. The implementation of SAKERNAS 2025 will take place in February, May, August, and November 2025. The scope of the SAKERNAS February 2025 data collection includes 7,680 enumeration blocks (BS) or 76,800 households, with estimates at the provincial level. To ensure a good understanding of the SAKERNAS February 2025 data collection, BPS Manggarai Regency is organizing a Training for SAKERNAS February 2025 Enumerators. This training aims to provide materials on concepts, definitions, data collection methodologies, and the use of the FASIH application as the data collection mode. This will equip the enumerators with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively carry out the SAKERNAS February 2025 data collection.
The Training for SAKERNAS February is conducted in three stages. The first stage is Self-Directed Learning, which takes place from January 13 to 15, 2025. The second stage is Online Learning, which runs from January 16 to 18, 2025, and The third stage is Offline training which was held on January 20, 2025. The training was officially opened by the Head of BPS Manggarai Regency, Mr. Yosef Danu, S.Si, on January 16 via an online platform. In his opening remarks, he emphasized the importance of the SAKERNAS February 2025 data collection. He explained that the February update data will serve as the basis for sampling until 2027, making supervision and verification during the update phase critically important. With this policy in place, field officers, both PPL (Field Data Collection Officers) and PML (Field Supervisors), are expected to maintain the quality of the data collected for SAKERNAS February 2025 to achieve the overall goal of providing continuous and reliable labor force data. Concluding his remarks, the Head of BPS Manggarai Regency reminded the officers to participate in the training attentively and focus so that they could thoroughly understand the materials presented during the training.
The in-person training for the SAKERNAS February 2025 was held at Hotel Sky Flores Ruteng on January 20, 2025. The training was attended by 13 participants, consisting of 7 partner PPLs (Field Data Collection Officers), 3 organic PMLs (Field Supervisors), 2 training INDA personnel, and 1 training committee member. The training lasted for one day, with the agenda focusing on the implementation of the FASIH application as the data collection mode and conducting a trial data collection with respondents around the training venue. The in-person training proceeded smoothly and successfully. The trial data collection with respondents also went well, as the PPLs demonstrated their ability to gather information from respondents regarding their employment conditions in the field.
The SAKERNAS February Training was concluded with remarks from Mr. Yosef Danu, S.Si, the Head of BPS Manggarai Regency. He emphasized the importance of retaining and effectively applying the training materials in the field. He also urged the PPLs to proficiently probe for employment-related information, be more meticulous in describing respondents' jobs, and avoid errors in classifying respondents' business sectors and job positions. Following the SAKERNAS enumerators’ training, the series of SAKERNAS activities will continue with the Enumeration Block Update from January 24 to February 7, 2024, and the SAKERNAS Household Data Collection from February 8 to 24, 2025.
