Village Potential (PODES) 2024:
"Make Sure Your Village Has Accurate Data"

PODES 2024 will be implemented from 2-31 May 2024 by the Central Statistics Agency in all village-level government administrative areas including villages, sub-districts, nagari, Transmigration Settlement Units (UPT), and Transmigration Settlement Units (SPT) which are still being developed by the relevant ministries throughout Indonesia.
Podes 2024 also covers all sub-districts, districts/cities throughout Indonesia.

The need for regional data and information down to the smallest areas (villages/kelurahan) is increasingly diverse and must be met.
Podes data is the "only" regional/spatial data owned by BPS. Podes is used to prepare for the 2026 economic census and is used by many parties in the context of development planning.
From the results of the Village Potential (Podes) data collection, we are able to describe the potential possessed by an area at the village, sub-district and district/city levels throughout Indonesia.

Outputs from PODES 2024 include: 1. Data on village potential in the social, economic and infrastructure sectors; 2. Indicators for the purposes of the 2026 Economic Census; 3. Indicators that make up the Urban-Rural classification; 4. Village Development Indicators mandated by Village Law Number 6 of 2014; 5. Evaluation of the use of village funds refers to Permendesa PDTT Number 5 of 2015, Number 21 of 2015, Number 22 of 2016, and Number 19 of 2017 concerning Determining Priorities for the Use of Village Funds; 6. Geographic Difficulty Index (IKG); 7. Village Index (ID); and much more.
