Second Training for Cinta Statistik Village 2024

On September 19, 2024, BPS Manggarai Regency conducted 2nd training for Cinta Statistik village. The event began with a speech from the Head of BPS Manggarai Regency as the facilitator, followed by an explanation of the differences between data and information, and the various modes of data collection such as PAPI, CAPI, CAWI, and CATI. During this session, the stages of data processing and analysis were also discussed. Data analysis can be defined as the effort to process data into information, making the characteristics or properties of data easier to understand, and useful for addressing research-related issues. In statistics, analysis is divided into two categories: descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. Descriptive statistics describe the phenomenon of a variable or object being observed, while inferential statistics involve analyzing a variable to conclude. Statistical measures in descriptive analysis techniques can include rates, which express the number of occurrences in a population over a specific time, ratios or comparisons, proportions, and absolute numbers.
After the sessions were presented by two speakers from the BPS Manggarai Regency Cinta Statistik village team, the activity continued with practical exercises in data processing and analysis, and discussions.
