The 2025 Inter-Census Population Survey (SUPAS 2025) is a primary source of data for obtaining demographic indicators in Indonesia. Some of the key indicators produced by SUPAS 2025 include data on fertility, mortality, migration, employment, the elderly, disability, education and language, and housing. The Indicators will be available at the national, regional, provincial, and district/municipal levels.
The SUPAS 2025 activities are being conducted in June and July 2025. The data collection process begins with an update of the population in the selected local area unit (SLS). Once this updating is completed, samples will be drawn to select 16 households in each SLS to be interviewed by Field Enumerators (PCL). SUPAS 2025 uses the CAPI (Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing) method, meaning that enumerators conduct interviews using smartphones.
A total of 22 Field Enumerators (PCL) and 5 Field Supervisors (PML) have participated in a hybrid training session—2 days online and 1 day offline. The training covered concepts and definitions, interviewing techniques, and smartphone usage.
The success of SUPAS 2025 will provide valuable contributions to development planning and evaluation, especially in supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN), particularly in the fields of social and population development.
