The 2025 Village Development Data Updating (PODES 2025) is the only comprehensive data collection activity at the village level conducted by Statistics Indonesia (Badan Pusat Statistik/BPS). The data collected in PODES 2025 consists of general information that indicates the potential available within a specific region.
The purpose of the PODES 2025 data collection is to produce data for regional development planning, provide information on regional potentials, the availability of infrastructure/facilities, and the socio-economic conditions in each village or urban ward. Additionally, PODES data is widely utilized by various parties for development planning purposes, including providing the data necessary for calculating the Village Geographic Difficulty Index (IKG Desa), one of the factors used for allocating village funds.
The PODES 2025 updating activity will be conducted from June 2 to June 30, 2025. In Manggarai Regency, the updating will be carried out by 8 Field Supervisors (PML) and 23 Field Enumerators (PCL) who have previously received training. A total of 223 villages/urban wards in Manggarai Regency are targeted in this PODES 2025 update.
To support this activity, BPS Manggarai Regency coordinates with several relevant local government agencies (OPD), such as the Health Office, the Office of Education, Youth, and Sports, and the Population and Civil Registration Office. This coordination is expected to help fulfill the PODES data more completely and accurately.
