The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Manggarai Regency has officially established a partnership with St. Paulus Catholic University of Ruteng (UNIKA St. Paulus Ruteng) through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) related to the establishment of a Statistics Corner. This event occurred on Thursday, April 24, 2025, in the UNIKA St. Paulus Ruteng auditorium.
The signing marks the commitment of both institutions to enhance statistical literacy within the academic community and to support research and education based on data. The Statistics Corner is a service aimed at facilitating access to official BPS data for academics and providing assistance in statistical data analysis.
In his speech, the Head of BPS Manggarai Regency stated that the Statistics Corner is an extension of the BPS Manggarai Regency office that involves not only BPS staff but also students and academics at UNIKA St. Paulus Ruteng. The services provided at the Statistics Corner include data requests, consultations, and statistical data dissemination.
The Rector of UNIKA St. Paulus Ruteng also welcomed the partnership. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between BPS Manggarai Regency and UNIKA St. Paulus Ruteng in facilitating data needs for both lecturers and students.
Through this collaboration, it is hoped that a sustainable synergy will be created between BPS Manggarai Regency and UNIKA St. Paulus Ruteng in building an academic ecosystem that understands the importance of data and supports regional development based on statistical information.
