Sakernas Enumerator Training August 2024

The National Labor Force Survey (SAKERNAS) is a survey from BPS designed to collect employment data in Indonesia. The results of this data will be used to estimate data on the number of employed people, unemployment and other employment indicators at the national, provincial and district/city levels. This survey is carried out twice a year, namely in February and August. This survey was first carried out by BPS in 1976 and began to be carried out regularly since 1986. However, this year there is something different from previous years, where in previous years Sakernas data collection activities were carried out using the pencil and paper interview (PAPI) mode. ), so this year Sakernas data collection was carried out using computer assisted personal interviews (CAPI).

Before carrying out field data collection, Sakernas officers will be provided with material including the concept of definitions and procedures for conducting enumerations and monitoring that is currently being carried out. With this training, it is hoped that we can provide accurate and quality data results. The August 2024 Sakernas was carried out by 19 PPLs from BPS partners and 9 PMLs who were BPS organic employees with a total sample of 560 samples. Each PML will be tasked with supervising 2-3 PPLs, where each PPL will work on 2-3 census blocks.

This August Sakernas activity begins with updating activities which will begin to be implemented on 25 July – 7 August 2024. Then it will continue with data collection activities on 8-31 August 2024. All Sakernas officers are expected to be obliged to maintain existing SOPs to obtain good and quality data. , so that it can be relied on and used to support the government in carrying out appropriate and sustainable development planning and evaluation.
